The afternoon is dedicated to the author Statis Myrivilis: A Greek Revolutionary writer. You will hear from Nanno Marinatos, a UIC professor and UHVA Hall of Fame member, as she introduces your featured speakers. George Syrinis, Yale professor, will discuss his body of work "Sappho's Love Triangle in Myrivilis' Teacher with the Golden Eyes". You will then hear directly from the granddaughter of the famed author, Christina Angelopoulou, as she tells us of her memories of Myrivilis.
This will all take place at UIC Forum, Richard J. Daley Library, Room 1-470 on November 21st from 3:30pm-5:30pm. Please join us!
